The U-IMD protocol was successfully amended for a longer runtime. The official end of the EU funded phase of the project is now 31.07.2021
As a project placed in the public health sector, having health care providers as its Beneficiaries and major Stakeholders and being implemented by experts working in the health care sector, many of whom are physicians, U-IMD was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result all Beneficiaries had to reduce the amount of work dedicated to the project or even had to temporarily put project related activities on hold. With the registry and the data gathered therein being the central work product of the project, the temporary halt to patient enrolment and capacity building had the strongest impact on the proceedings of the project. Therefore the U-IMD Beneficiaries assessed the situation and decided to apply for an expansion of the runtime by 6 months.
